Liberty Notice: Although this video by Dan Buettner has great information about longevity, there are IBM advertisements about traffic video cameras that we completely disagree with. If the cameras were used simply to monitor the volume of traffic so that adjustments could be made to traffic light programming for better traffic flow, it could be argued that they serve a good purpose. These could better be done with pavement sensors that don’t record pictures of anything. As depicted in these IBM ads, using cameras to take pictures of license plates to track the movement of people and storing it in a data base is simply another giant step toward a police state.
