You’ll find this cozy little cottage by meandering down a country road outside of Utopia, Texas passing small farms and ranches while witnessing excellent views. Getting there is part of the fun!
This health retreat is located on Seco Ridge on Axe Head Loop off County Road 357, three miles west of Utopia, Texas. This ridge jutting out into the scenic Sabinal Canyon has a beautiful north, south and west view of the Canyon. It is located approximately halfway between Lost Maples and Garner State Parks and is one of the premier bird watching plots in the Texas Hill Country. State certified wildlife biologists have documented on this property over 200 different species of birds, as well as numerous species of wildlife ranging from coyotes and grey fox to porcupines and bobcats.
The Sabinal Canyon is a valley settled by frontiersmen and women soon after the founding of the Republic of Texas. People came here, not only for the beauty of the country, but also for the healthy climate, clean air, and abundant spring fed streams. The inhabitants today live here and visitors come here for these very same reasons.
