Part II: Beware of the Sugar Conspiracy (Opinion)

by: Hesh Goldstein

(NaturalNews) In dealing with the "sugar conspiracy" thrust upon us, we left off with the use of grams to describe sugar content. But, it doesn't end there.

One very, very important thing to remember is that you must read labels because many "non-sweetened" products contain sugar as well.

A half cup of store-bought spaghetti sauce can contain as much as three teaspoons of sugar.

Ketchup can have a 20% sugar content.

When the "pimps" take the fat out of a product, like cookies or salad dressing, guess what they replace it with? Yep, sugar and extra salt. High blood pressure anyone? Calorie wise, they are not much less than the fattier version.

Bread is another one. It's sugar and eggs. (The whites, by the way, are used in aircraft paint because they don't crack under extreme temperatures; that gives bread its nice, golden crust.)

We know that potato chips are salty, but they can contain sugar as one. They don't say, "betcha can't eat one", for nothing.

And let's not forget the popular high protein energy bars. These guys can contain up to 300 calories and are loaded with sugar.

There was a study done at the American College of Neuropsycopharmacology (say it three times fast and you'll own it) that found that sugar gives the same brain reaction as morphine, cocaine and nicotine. To put it another way, sugar is addictive!

The reality is that the food industry knows full well that sugar is addictive, so it shouldn't come as a surprise to you that they will put as much as they can in as many products as they can to get you to eat more and more and more. You eat more; you get fat; you get sick; they get rich. They see that as a win-win situation. How do you see it?

But sugar just doesn't make you waddle down the street. It does a number on your insulin levels and leads you to becoming a diabetic. Did you know that just consuming one can of soda a day increases your risk of diabetes by 85% and can cut 11 to 20 years off your life?

It's not a walk in the park to break a sugar habit, but you have to give it your best shot.

You can keep your blood sugar stable by including protein with every meal. If you know about quinoa, the incredible grain from Peru which is a complete protein, you can eat that and get plenty of fiber as well. Remember, if it had a face or a mother it has no fiber.
If you use fruit as a substitute for sugar it will help curtail your sugar cravings.
Under no circumstances substitute fake sugar and think it's the answer.

Aspartame will turn you into a zombie because the methanol in aspartame converts to formaldehyde at 84 degree F (the body's temperature is 98.6 degrees F)

Sucralose is derived from chlorine and is best used in your swimming pool.

The reality is that these fake sugars do not eliminate sugar cravings; they actually increase them. A study proved that a person's risk for obesity went up 41% for each daily can of diet soda.

So, do the best you can and take it one day at a time. When you see your weight come down and your mood swings level out and you have more sustained energy, you'll know you're on the right road.

Just stay as sweet as you are.

Aloha!

A Primer on Acne: Natural and Holistic Strategies Prevent Eruptions

by: Andrew Kim

(NaturalNews) The consensus in the dermatological community is that acne is largely a genetic disorder and that diet has little to no effect on the development of the condition. A literature search shows that the irrefutable beliefs held by dermatologists are based on a collection of studies that are inconclusive at best. The pathology of acne is well understood. Unsurprisingly though, the medical establishment is unaware of (or dismissive towards) the power of natural methods and diet to prevent, modify, and cure the condition. Instead, they choose to focus on using drugs that down regulate, inhibit, or kill rather than work with and restore balance back to the body.

Advanced Colloidal Silver
Utopia Naturals Soap

Acne is a disorder of EXCESSIVE GROWTH and INFLAMMATION, which is driven by hormonal changes.1. The formation of acne begins in the hair follicle, with over proliferation and adhesion of epidermal cells called keratinocytes (dead surface skin cells). This process is driven by a growth factor (EGF) and a cytokine (IL-1).
2. An over active sebaceous gland empties sebum into the follicle, which mixes with the dead skin cells. This sticky mass inhibits normal skin exfoliation and creates a clogged pore (microcomedone).
3. Impaction and bacterial infiltration creates oxidative stress and the follicle eventually bursts, releasing its contents. Inflammation ensues and becomes visible in and around the clog. The lesion is now called a papule, pustule, or cyst.Insulin influences every step in the formation of acne directly and indirectly.1. First, insulin frees up IGF-1 and EGF, which are incredible promoters of growth. IGF-1 acts on and stimulates keratinocyte proliferation. It also decreases IGFBP-3, which regulates IGF-1, and acts on RXR to normalize cell growth. High insulin levels are also linked to chronic inflammation, triggering the release of IL-1 that starts the whole process.
2. Insulin increases sebum production in two ways: by stimulating androgen release in the testes and ovaries and by decreasing SHBG, which normally binds sex hormones in the bloodstream, regulating its availability to cells.
3. Insulin worsens acne by diverting essential fatty acid (EFA) derived eicosanoid production towards inflammation.

Recommendations

1. Diet
– Choose low-glycemic load , anti-inflammatory foods, which provoke less insulin, growth factor release, androgen production, and inflammation. These changes normalize follicular cell proliferation and reduce sebum.
– Avoid inflammatory foods like trans-fats, refined vegetable oils, grain-fed meats, and refined carbohydrates.
– Minimize inflammation by consuming foods rich in omega-3s and reducing Arachidonic acid (AA).

2. Lifestyle
– Increase quality and quantity of sleep. Inadequate sleep increases inflammation, stress, weight gain, and cortisol production. Cortisol may contribute to acne flare-ups by elevating blood sugar and stimulating the sebaceous glands, much like the androgens.
– Negative emotions and stress are linked to increased production of inflammatory cytokines. Stress also increases the production of cortisol.
– Chronic stress depresses the adrenal glands over time and leads to hypothyroidism. Hypothyroidism decreases SHBG, freeing up the androgens that increase sebum.

3. Supplements
– Vitamin D3: Regulates proper skin cell formation and modulates the inflammatory response.
– Alpha linolenic acid (ALA): Flooding the body with ALA reduces inflammation by outcompeting AA for delta-5-desaturase. Reducing AA, insulin surges, and boosting ALA will divert EFA production towards anti-inflammatory mediators.
– Methylsulfonylmethane
– N-acetyl cysteine: precursor to glutathione; prevents oxidative damage and inflammation and enhances Vitamins C and E.

Acne may have a genetic component, but as with most other diseases, the expression and severity of acne is influenced by lifestyle factors that are well within our control. Until dermatologists recognize the potential for natural, holistic solutions to modify the hormonal and inflammatory changes that cause acne, long-term success with conventional therapies will be elusive.

Author’s note: the supplements listed above are neither comprehensive nor all the supplements necessary for everyone. Rather, it is a starting list worthy of consideration based on research.

Reduce and Avoid Dangerous High Blood Pressure Naturally

by: Tony Isaacs

(NaturalNews) According to the American Heart Association, one out of every three adults suffers with elevated blood pressure. That means that at least one third of our population is at risk of heart trouble. Fortunately high blood pressure can be corrected with common sense, simple dietary and lifestyle changes and natural remedies.

Two of the first areas to look at for correcting high blood pressure are diet and exercise. Artery clogging trans-fats, processed meats and other items in the SADS diet of most Americans often lead to high blood pressure and other cardiovascular problems. Switching to a healthy diet can lower high blood pressure and prevent it from occurring in the future. Likewise, physical exercise helps lower and prevent high blood pressure and cardiovascular problems. The combination of good diet and physical activity works even better.

Researchers at the University of Aukland came to a simple conclusion after reviewing 22 blood pressure studies: Physical activity lowers blood pressure. Being more active is likely the best thing you can do to lower blood pressure.

Several studies have found that a diet rich in fruits and vegetables helps lower elevated blood pressure. Fiber can help. A good diet, along with physical activity, also helps drop excess weight. In one three-year study, people who lost just ten pounds reduced their risk of high blood pressure by two-thirds.

Thus, if you eat sensibly, lose ten pounds and get regular exercise or physical activity (such as brisk walks or swimming), you have a good chance of avoiding blood pressure problems for life.

Here are some other items which can help:

Magnesium has over 300 functions in your body. A study of 41,541 nurses found that magnesium plays an important role in reducing blood pressure.

Vitamin C is key to reducing blood pressure. According to a study published in Hypertension low levels of vitamin C accounted for 25% of the incidences of elevated blood pressure.

Cayenne Pepper is probably the fastest way to lower high blood pressure. Either mix one teaspoon of cayenne pepper with half a cup of lukewarm water or mix two tablespoons of raw organic honey with two teaspoons of cayenne pepper; boil them with eight ounces of water and drink when it is warm.

Hawthorne berries have rightly been called "food for the heart". They lower blood pressure, as well as protect arterial walls and prevent and treat hypertension and angina.

Omega-3 fatty acids, such as those found in fish oil, have a significant impact on blood pressure. As a bonus, they lower triglyceride (blood fats) levels as well.

Cutting out all caffeine can lower blood pressure by 10-15 points off the top and 8-10 points off the bottom.

Other helpful items:

*Eat lots of garlic. Studies have proven that garlic significantly lowers both systolic and diastolic blood pressure..
*Daily evening primrose oil pills can drop about 10 points off of both the bottom and top blood pressure numbers.
*Cinnamon helps lower blood pressure as well as circulating blood glucose, triglycerides, and LDL cholesterol.
*Green tea helps prevent clogged arteries and keeps blood pressure under control.
*Ginger reduces blood pressure and prevents blood clots. Ayurvedic physicians suggest that a bit of daily ginger helps prevent heart attack
*Cordyceps is a Chinese herb which slows the heart rate, lowers blood pressure and yet also increases the blood supply to the arteries and heart.
*ALA, (alpha-lipoic acid) has also lowered blood pressure in a number of studies.
*Grape seed extract with oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPCS) can lower high blood pressure.
*Eating payaya on an empty stomach can lower high blood pressure within a month.

The Dentist Who Cured Cancer

by: Paul Fassa

(NaturalNews) During the 1960s, a small town Texas dentist discovered a way to cure his terminal pancreatic cancer; he then proceeded to cure others of all kinds of cancers until the Medical Mafia struck him down. His name was William Donald Kelley, DDS, MS.

Jarro Zymes

His procedure involved diet, heavy pancreatic enzyme dosing, and liver detoxing with coffee enemas. Dr. Kelley died in 2005 at the age of 79. His book, Curing the Incurable covers his therapy.

Kelley`s Cancer Victory

When the doctors told Kelley he was about to die from fast spreading and devastating pancreatic cancer, his wife left him with no money and four small children. Kelley`s mother came from Kansas to rescue him.
She threw out all the meats, junk food, cookies and candy that Kelley was addicted to. Then she fed him fresh grains, produce, and fruit, mostly raw. In three months, Kelley was up and about and working again.

That gave him a clue about diet and cancer. He read one of Max Gerson's books on diet and changed his diet forever.

Now he was healthier, but his cancer was still there. So he researched more on his own. Kelley found a book by John Beard, an early 20th Century Scottish embryologist who made the connection of pancreatic enzymes to cancer cells.

Beard noticed that when the fetus begins producing pancreatic enzymes, the placenta stops its cellular growth, and he wondered what that would do to cancer cells. He experimented by injecting cancerous animals and humans with pancreatic juices, and he cured them. Yet, nothing came of his successful experiments.

Kelley needed to try this for himself. He went to the local pharmacy and bought up as many pancreatic enzyme supplements as he could, and he proceeded to take heavy doses. He noticed progress on ridding cancer cells, but then he would get sick. When he stopped dosing, he would recover then proceed again. After dosing again with more cancer cells dying off, he would become ill again.

He realized that he was having Herxheimer or healing crisis reactions. Whenever dead cancer cells and their toxins were released after the enzymes tore up the cancer cell walls, the cancer cells were left vulnerable to the immune system.

So he incorporated daily liver cleanse coffee enemas to get off the Herxheimer roller coaster and became cancer free. Soon, the word spread about Kelley`s miraculous self cure. Cancer patients from all over began flocking to him. His cure rate with all types of cancer was over 50%.

But Kelley was not satisfied. He first realized that many were deficient in enzyme activators produced in the small intestine. So he incorporated activators in some of his enzyme formulas.

Then he discovered that one diet didn`t fit all with his methods. So he created metabolic typing to determine which diet best suits the individual for heavy metabolic proteolytic enzyme dosing. His cure rate went to 93%!

Medical Mafia Clamps Down

Kelley`s dental license was suspended for five years when the AMA found out that a dentist was curing cancer. He was even thrown in jail briefly in 1969, forcing Kelley to practice in nearby Mexico.

After his high profile patient actor Steve McQueen died, national media jumped all over Dr. Kelley. He claimed that Steve`s difficult mesothelioma lung cancer was cured, but the actor's insistence on a separate cosmetic surgery in the States led to his death.

Bitter and broken, Kelley called it quits after 20 years of curing thousands with cancer. Ironically, Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez, originally involved with Sloane-Kettering`s effort to debunk Kelley, is praising Kelley and practicing his version of Kelley`s protocol in NYC.

Eating a Variety of Functional Foods Works Best To Prevent Disease

by: Ethan A. Huff

(NaturalNews) Most food and dietary supplement studies evaluate the effects of a single item on health, which ultimately fails to properly identify how different foods works together with one another to promote health. But a new study out of Lund University in Spain has found that eating a variety of health-promoting foods has a synergistic effect on preventing disease and promoting wellness.

IntraMax
LL Complete

Inger Bjorck, professor of food-related nutrition at Lund and head of the University's Antidiabetic Food Centre, and colleagues fed 44 healthy, but overweight, people a specific food regimen for four weeks. The diet consisted of antioxidant-rich, low glycemic index (GI) foods like omega-3-rich oily fish, blueberries, almonds, cinnamon, vinegar, and certain whole grains.

Each of these foods is known in isolation to perform functions like reducing bodily inflammation, lowering blood pressure, and preventing type-2 diabetes, but researchers wanted to know how each of these worked together with one another to promote health. What they found was that overall, bad cholesterol levels were reduced by 33 percent, blood lipid levels dropped by 14 percent, and blood pressure fell by eight percent.

"The results have exceeded our expectations!" said Bjorck. "I would like to claim that there has been no previous study with similar effects on healthy subjects."

In her book Food Synergy: Unleash Hundreds of Powerful Healing Food Combinations to Fight Disease and Live Well, Elaine Magee explains that nutrients work together with one another at the molecular level to provide health benefits.

"We now know that synergy does exist at the micronutrient level, in various combinations of vitamins and minerals," she explains. "These nutritional partnerships also explain, in part, why some research that has focused on only one nutrient may not have had the expected health results."

Enjoy the Many Healthy Benefits of Beets and Beetroot Juice

by: Tony Isaacs

(SilverBulletin) When most people think about beets, they likely turn up their noses and think "yuck!" However, health-conscious people would be wise to expand their palette and discover ways to utilize and enjoy beets on a regular basis because the oft-maligned beet is one of the healthiest vegetables on the planet.

Beets are rich in betaine, which stimulates liver cell function and helps keep the bile ducts healthy and flowing; this enables the body to eliminate toxins properly. Beets also protect against heart disease because another benefit of betaine is its ability to reduce homocysteine levels. Homocysteine is the toxic amino acid that increases risk of cardiovascular disease.

Betaine, also known as trimethylglycine (TMG), is a minor "mood enhancer". Through a series of events, it increases serotonin levels and can be used to help relieve many cases of depression.

Drinking just over two cups of beetroot juice daily may help keep your blood pressure in check, according to a 2008 study. Within three hours of drinking 500 milliliters (about 17 ounces) of beetroot juice, volunteers showed a significant decrease in blood pressure. What's more, that drop in blood pressure was sustained for up to 24 hours after the juice was consumed.

Beets also help protect against cancer, particularly colon cancer, and there is something called "Beet Therapy" which doctors have used to get rid of tumors and to help with blood diseases and leukemia. Even the leaves of raw beets have been eaten and useful and beneficial to one's health. The leaves have been known to counter "garlic" breath and in Roman times Hippocrates advocated the use of beet leaves as binding for healing wounds.

Among the other healthy uses of beets are:

*Helping cleanse the colon
*Strengthening the gall bladder
*Increasing stamina
*Treating and curing boils, abscesses and even acne.

Beets, which are low calorie and have no saturated fat, contain folic acid which is necessary for the production and maintenance of new cells. This is especially important for pregnant woman or anyone undergoing physical healing. Beets also contain sodium, magnesium, calcium, iron and phosphorous.

Beets are usually bright red (and sometimes white or yellow) and make a colorful and healthy garnish. They also can be made into a number of cold salads. Betacyanin is the pigment that gives red beets their color and is believed to be responsible for helping fight cancer.

Borscht is a vegetable soup made of beets and is a very popular and traditionally loved dish in Poland, Russia, Germany and other Eastern European countries. There are cold and hot Borscht soups and each country varies the ingredients somewhat, but beets are the one main and common ingredient of this revered hearty soup.

Juiced beets are usually called either "beetroot juice" or "beet juice". Beetroot juice has a strong flavor; thus, it is best blended with other juices (such as carrot, apple, and lemon) for better taste. Since juiced beets can be combined with other healthy ingredients for both taste and health benefits, many people prefer to consume beets in juiced form.

Here is a healthy and simple juiced beets recipe:

Beet Juice with Carrots and Celery

Ingredients:

*1 small organic beetroot (the small ones are sweeter!)
*2 large organic carrots
*1 stalk of organic celery

Directions:

1. Wash the vegetables using water and a vegetable brush.
2. Remove the carrot and beetroot tops. Peel the beetroot if the skin is tough. Otherwise, just cut off the top.
3. Slice up the vegetables to fit your juicer.
4. Juice and serve.

For a sweeter drink, add an apple, or use 2 apples instead of the carrots.

Part I: Beware of the Sugar Conspiracy (Opinion)

by: Hesh Goldstein

(NaturalNews) With the food industry, it all comes down to greed and various conspiracies to make you eat and spend more.. As their profits go through the roof, every time we use more of their products, we need to realize that they are already producing enough food for every American to eat 3,900 calories a day – which is almost double what we actually need. So, how do they get us to eat more girth enlarging calories? Sugar!

Chromium

Sugar and corn sweetener, aside from largely being a GMO crop, are cheap to produce and let you eat until the cows come home without feeling full. To scarf down 1,000 calories via a fountain drink at the local convenience store is not only effortless, but it leaves plenty of room for dinner.

The effect is that this type of consumption has you eat more calories than your body needs; you easily gain weight; and it's easier to become the President than to lose weight.

We, the "tricks", are eating what amounts to about 31 teaspoons of added sugar a day, which equates to about 500 extra calories a day, or 25% of your daily caloric intake each and every day.

How do they trick us into doing that?

The "hooker" (the U.S. Government) requires that the "pimp" (the food industry) disclose the amount of sugar contained in a given product. Sounds great on paper, doesn't it?

What if sugar is given a different name, one that you may not be aware of? Having somewhat of a brain, you would assume that molasses and honey must contain sugar. But what about sorghum or corn syrup or high fructose corn syrup or turbinado or fructose or amazake or lactose or dextrose or sucrose, or galactose, or maltose? Jeez, it's enough to make you comatose!

The average person wouldn't associate these scientific-sounding names with sugar. But that's what they are.

These sugar aliases allow a food manufacturer to list these euphemisms on the same label without telling you it's all sugar.

The next trick they use is to list the information in grams. Why grams? Because you don't know squat about grams.

When you see that a 12-ounce can of soda contains 40 grams of sugar, you could care less. But what if you saw that that same can of soda contained 10 teaspoons of sugar? What would you think if you were sitting next to a guy in a restaurant and you watched him put 10 teaspoons of sugar in his coffee? You would think the guy was lolo (Hawaiian for crazy), wouldn't you?

So, this will make it easy for you. Four grams equals one teaspoon. You divide the total grams by four and you will know how many teaspoons you are about to ingest.

Chocolate Compounds Fight High Cholesterol

by: Jonathan Benson

(NaturalNews) Chocolate has received a lot of attention for being a treasure trove of nutritional goodness. Polyphenols in cacao beans are linked to promoting heart, brain, and liver health, which has sparked renewed interest in chocolate as a medicinal food. And a new study adds to the growing list of benefits, showing that chocolate polyphenols also help to lower bad cholesterol.

Published in the journal Diabetic Medicine, the study tested the effects of polyphenol-rich chocolate in a group of 12 volunteers with type-2 diabetes. After 16 weeks, the researchers from Hull University in the U.K. discovered that the polyphenols helped lower participants' bad cholesterol levels while raising good cholesterol levels.

"Chocolate with a high cocoa content should be included in the diet of individuals with type-2 diabetes as part of a sensible, balanced approach to diet and lifestyle," said professor Steve Akin, author of the study.

Back in August, NaturalNews covered a Swedish study that found similar results (http://www.naturalnews.com/029559_c…). It also showed that high-flavanol chocolate that has been minimally processed is much different than the highly-processed chocolate candy sold in most grocery stores.

Actual cacao beans are rich in vital nutrients, including alkaloid bitters like theobromine (a different substance than the harmful bromine chemical), which stimulates the heart muscle and dilates blood vessels. This compound and others provide demonstrable benefits in lowering high blood pressure and maintaining healthy arteries.

Processed chocolate, however, has been stripped of most or all of these nutrients. Add in the bad fats and refined sugars and you are left with a chocolate product that is actually bad for your health.

Is asthma just a symptom of vitamin D deficiency?

by: David Gutierrez

(NaturalNews) Low vitamin D levels may make asthmatic children significantly more likely to suffer from severe attacks, according to a study conducted by researchers from Harvard Medical School and published in the Journal of Allergy & Clinical Immunology.

D3-5

The researchers took blood samples from 1,024 children with mild-to-moderate asthma who were enrolled in a study of two inhaled asthma drugs, budesonide and nedocromil. The children were then followed for four years.

For the purposes of the study, vitamin D insufficiency was defined as a blood level less than or equal to 30 nanograms per milliliter. Although it currently takes levels lower than 11 nanograms per milliliter to be classified as a deficiency, doctors increasingly believe that levels of 30 nanograms per milliliter or higher are required for optimal health.

The researchers found that children with vitamin D insufficiency were significantly more likely to suffer from severe asthma attacks than children with higher levels of the vitamin. During the course of the study, 38 percent of vitamin D-insufficient children had to be hospitalized at least once due to an asthma attack, compared with only 32 percent of vitamin-sufficient children.

Vitamin D did not appear to protect children from moderate asthma symptoms; in fact, lower vitamin levels appeared to be correlated with a slightly lower risk of moderate symptoms. The researchers were unable to explain this effect.

Scientists have long known that vitamin D plays a crucial role in the development and maintenance of healthy teeth and bones. More recently, they have discovered that the vitamin plays a vital role in regulating the immune system, and that low levels may increase the risk of allergies, infection, autoimmune diseases, cancer, and heart disease.

The researchers in the current study suggested that the vitamin may help regulate the body's inflammatory response, perhaps even by enhancing the potency of anti-inflammatory hormones. They found that vitamin D appeared to be more protective among participants who were taking budesonide, a synthetic anti-inflammatory hormone.

Monsanto Roundup Linked to Birth Defects in New Study

by: Aaron Turpen

(NaturalNews) Everybody's favorite genetically modified seed and biotech company, Monsanto, has yet again proven their lovability. The world's poster child for corporate manipulation and deceit1 was the focus of a new study looking at their top-selling product, Roundup herbicides.

EDTA
IP-6

The study was conducted by Professor Andres Carrasco and an international team of scientists and researchers at the Laboratorio de Embriolagia Molecular at the University of Buenos Aires and was published by the American Chemical Society in August.2 It focused on glyphosate, the prime ingredient of Roundup and the most widely-used broad spectrum herbicide in use worldwide. Glyphosate-based herbicides (GBH) are also the focus of most of Monsanto's herbicide-tolerant (HT-ready) genetically modified seeds (GM or GMO).

The Argentinian study looked at how GBH affects vertebrate embryos in development. Treated during incubation with a dilute 1/5,000 GBH, the embryos showed several abnormalities in bone development, particularly in the skull and vertebrae. The animal embryos used were frogs and chickens.

For comparison, a 1/5,000 concentration (2.03mg/kg) is about 1/10th of the amount used on most agricultural plants. The maximum level for GBH allowed in soybeans in the European Union is 20mg/kg (established in 1997 when GMO soy was commercialized in Europe). Soybeans after harvest can typically contain up to 17mg/kg of GBH residue.

The research done by Carrasco and his team was prompted by the high rate of birth defects in rural areas of Argentina where Monsanto's GMO soybeans are often grown in large monocultures and sprayed with Roundup from aircraft.

At a press conference during the 6th European Conference of GMO-Free Regions in the European Parliament in Brussels, Professor Carrasco said, "The findings in the lab are compatible with malformations observed in humans exposed to glyphosate during pregnancy."3

Here in the U.S., we are undergoing a 3-pronged attack against our agricultural and food system. Over 90% of our soybeans, 70% of our corn, and many other common crops are now genetically modified. The plant-patenting and manipulation industry, led by Monsanto, has been taking over both the USDA and the FDA while systematically eliminating family and independent farmers who resist using GM seeds.4

Meanwhile, the evidence against the safety of GM foods continues to mount. This study from Professor Carrasco and his team is just the latest in a long line of research showing the extremely negative effects of the genetic manipulation of our food supply.

The best way to combat this problem individually? Buy from local, non-GMO farmers and growers, eat healthy, non-processed foods, and continue to spread the word about the evils of Big Agra. Things will only change when people begin voting en masse with their wallets and forks, walking away from the Big Agra-Industrial-Pharma-Government complex that is attempting to destroy our lives.
