Hello Utopia Silver,
I have a colloidal silver generator. I am trying to make a quart batch of silver.  I checked my 9v batteries.  They check good.  I have fresh distilled water.  Set a timer for 80 minutes and expected to get 10 ppm solution, measured with the ppm tester.  Only tested 2 ppm.  The electrodes I am using only made about 2 quarts of silver. What am I doing wrong? When replacing electrodes, would I replace both negative and positive, or just the positive? …and what is the best way to know if either of the electrodes need replacing?

Hi John,
How many volts do your batteries show using a volt meter? You may want to try making a ½ quart or less and see what happens.

There aren’t too many things that can go wrong.

1) Batteries- low voltage

2) Water- You must be good distilled water (What is your ppm reading on your water?)

3) Connections- Be sure clips are tight and soldering isn’t broken and electrodes are clean

4) PPM Meter- Are you sure your meter is working ok? (Check distilled water-it should be no more than 1 ppm. Check a glass of tap water- it generally will be anywhere from 70-200 ppm depending on your water source.) It’s possible that it may need to be calibrated and there is calibration solution for that.

Also, does your product have color? If so, then you have some particle silver which will not register on the ppm meter. If your electrodes are eroding then you are making silver.

You need only replace the positive electrode. The positive erodes as product is made; the negative erodes very little.

You will know it needs replacing because it will start getting very thin. The thinner it gets, the longer it takes to make product. It will eventually disintegrate and break off, …but save your silver, it is still worth something.

I have a severe eye infection but also itchy and swollen ears and have had skin rashes for about 3 weeks now can you advise what to do. I have colloidal silver but don`t know in what dosage I should take it and whether as an eye bath or internally.

I’m not sure what brand or what kind of ‘colloidal silver’ you have, I can only speak about what we produce, …but generally there is no problem using silver drops in your eyes. I have used it for many years to get rid of pink eye and other bacterial infections both for my family and my pets. One can also use an eye cup to flush the eye. An ear flush can also be helpful for ear infections by filling the ear with ‘silver’ by tilting your head to one side and letting the silver sit for 5-10 minutes before draining it.

Have you been clinically diagnosed by a healthcare professional or have you simply narrowed it to that possibility? Many doctors callously dismiss such CFS symptoms as hypochondria or mis-diagnose it altogether. There are some natural products and supplements that can support the body’s response/immune system and  often be helpful in alleviating such a problem.

To start with, one must get on a good diet of raw fruits and vegetables (preferably organic) as well as eliminating most junk drinks and foods that contain processed flours and sugars. Although processed foods may not be the cause of the CFS, a bad diet will cause the effects to be worse that they would be otherwise.

According to the “Prescription For Nutritional Healing” book by Dr. Balch, one of the possibilities is that it is caused by the Epstein-Barr virus or even a Herpes virus which is also in the family with shingles, chicken pox, measles, mononucleosis, etc., in which case colloidal silver may be the best solution. It may also be a systemic yeast infections in which case silver may also be helpful.

Hi Utopia Silver,

My daughter has had Molloscum Contagiosum for some months now and I have started looking for a natural cure for it.  Is colloidal silver effective at curing this as I have read that it can help with warts.  How would you apply it, is it something that you would take internally or apply topically?

Hi Rachel,

Molloscum Contagiosum are epidermal eruptions usually resulting from viral infections of the skin by a virus that is a member of the poxvirus family. Although a benign condition, it can be treated effectively with silver, which is very effective with viruses and all other one-celled organisms. It can also be effective against warts, related skin lesions, which are caused by the human papillomavirus. Both are common infections in children and often occurs when a child comes into direct contact with a lesion. It is frequently seen on the face, neck, armpit, arms, and hands but may occur anywhere on the body except the palms and soles. The virus can spread through contact with contaminated objects, such as towels, clothing, or toys and also with contact with other people who have them. The virus also spreads by sexual contact. Early lesions on the genitalia may be mistaken for herpes or warts but, unlike herpes, these lesions are painless.

Persons with a weakened immune system are generally more susceptible to Molloscum Contagiosum and warts. Therefore, it should be determined whether or not this is the case. If so, it might be advisable to, at the very least, take a plant mineral and vitamin supplement as well as to change the diet to one higher in natural fresh fruits and vegetables, eliminating most processed and junk foods.

The best method of treatment is to put colloidal silver on a band-aid and cover the Molloscum Contagiosum or wart with it. Keep the band-aid wet with silver until the wart goes away. One may want to start taking a teaspoon or two of silver orally at the same time. Dear Utopia Silver,
Have you heard anything about this (Advanced Colloidal Silver) being good for genital warts? Would it be taken orally or another way (topically)?

Hi Shane,
Warts are very difficult to treat, but I would use it both topically and orally as you suggest. One method I’ve seen is to take a finger nail file and gently file down the wart to soften it up and to make it absorb the silver better. Next, take a band-aid soaked with colloidal silver or silver gel and place it over the wart. Keep reapplying until the wart is gone.

Simultaneously oral consumption may also help, taking one to two ounces a day for a week or so. Just remember, if taking larger servings orally, supplement with Acidophilus and Probiotics to replenish the colon flora to ensure proper digestion.

Another ‘cure’ is to apply the white milky sap from a fig or fig leaf directly onto the wart. This was my grandmother’s remedy and we used this successfully many times when I was a child.

Hi Utopia Silver,

I have had a rash for 6 months and have been to several doctors no one has a clue to what the rash is.  My skin is red and scaly and burns if I sweat when I exercise.  I am at my wits end is it possible to have a yeast infection on your face? I have been told Rosacea, dermatitis, etc.  Please any info would be great.
